1. Who We Are
Aftwatch provides GPS tracking and asset monitoring services for marine, fleet, plant and professional applications.
Depending on how the service is used, Aftwatch may act as:
• A Data Controller – where we manage platform accounts and system access
• A Data Processor – where customers use our platform to monitor vehicles, assets or personnel
2. Data We Collect
Account Information
When an account is created, we may collect:
• Name
• Company name
• Email address
• Username
• Contact details
Accounts are created by Aftwatch administrators and issued to authorised users.
Device & Location Data
When a tracking device is active, the system processes:
• GPS coordinates
• Speed
• Direction
• Timestamp
• Device identifiers
• Vehicle or asset identifiers
This data is transmitted securely to Aftwatch servers hosted in the United Kingdom.
The Aftwatch Manager application does not collect GPS location directly from the user’s mobile device. Location data displayed within the app is retrieved from authorised tracking devices connected to the Aftwatch platform.
App Technical Data
The mobile applications may collect limited technical data including:
• Device model
• Operating system version
• Application version
• Diagnostic crash information
This is used solely to maintain and improve service reliability.
3. Push Notifications
Aftwatch uses Firebase Cloud Messaging to deliver push notifications.
Firebase may process:
• Anonymous device tokens
• Message delivery metadata
Firebase does not receive location history or account credentials.
Firebase services are operated by Google LLC.
Firebase services operate as independent data processors under Google’s terms and privacy framework.
4. Crash Diagnostics
Aftwatch uses Firebase Crashlytics to collect anonymised crash reports to improve application stability.
Crash data may include:
• Device type
• OS version
• App version
• Technical error logs
No live tracking data is transmitted to Crashlytics.
5. How We Use Data
We use data to:
• Provide GPS tracking services
• Display live and historical tracking information
• Deliver alerts and notifications
• Maintain system security
• Improve platform performance
We do not sell personal data.
6. Data Hosting & Security
All core tracking data is hosted within Aftwatch private cloud infrastructure in the United Kingdom.

• Encrypted communications (HTTPS/TLS)
• Role-based access controls
• Authentication controls
• Secure server infrastructure
7. Fleet & Employer Responsibilities
Where fleet or business customers use Aftwatch to monitor vehicles or personnel:
• The customer acts as Data Controller
• Aftwatch acts as Data Processor
Customers are responsible for:
• Informing employees of monitoring
• Providing lawful basis for tracking
• Maintaining appropriate employment policies
Aftwatch processes tracking data solely on customer instructions.
8. Data Retention
Tracking data is retained according to customer configuration and contractual agreement.
Account data is retained while the account remains active.

11. Account & Data Deletion
Users may request deletion of their Aftwatch account and associated personal data at any time by contacting:
Upon verification of identity, Aftwatch will:
• Disable the account
• Remove access credentials
• Delete associated personal account information
• Remove tracking data associated with that user where applicable
Where Aftwatch acts as a Data Processor on behalf of a fleet or business customer, deletion requests may need to be directed to the relevant Data Controller (the customer organisation).
Deleted data is permanently removed from active systems within 30 days, unless retention is required for legal or contractual obligations.
